Great service, good was tasty. Ambience makes you feel at home. It also has a mini “mart” with snacks, traditional accessories (pulseras con la bandera) sombrero vueltiao, etc. my snack bill was higher than the meal Parking is a bit of a challenge.
El Paisa is located in a local neighborhood with ample parking behind the street facing building. We walked in right when they opened. The place still smelled like floor cleaning solution (why the atmosphere had 3 stars). This restaurant can easily seat more than 100 people it seems. We were quickly shown a seat and our waiter was very friendly. My BIL is fluent in Spanish and was able to help w our orders. Drinks and appetizers were not a long wait at all. We got their fried yuca(sp?) and fried ripe bananas as starters - SO delish! We ordered a soup, carne and a fish dish. All were well cooked and seasoned very well. The fish may have been a tad bit overcooked but other than that, all the dishes were great. The servings were big portions as well and well worth it This was our first taste of Colombian cuisine and glad it was at El Paisa. Highly recommend this place and would visit again.
Dinner was incredible. Never tried Colombian but now will go again. I'll start with a menu having no prices which means it could've been more costly than expected but it was where we expected 2 seafood plates to be. The veggie empanadas were incredible and the fish marinara and salmon version were both amazing and gave us plenty of leftovers. The fries that accompanied the meal could've been left off... Because they were soft and greasy as well as inconsistent with the rest of the meal. Service was also to notch and while English wasn't the predominant language spoken inside, they accommodated ours willingly and easily. My take away is find something delicious to share because one meal could've fed 2 or 3 and made us Columbian food fans
The food was so good and our server andy was so nice! Would definitely recommend coming here for a meal.
